AXYZ is a leading global manufacturer of CNC routers and waterjet cutting solutions. With more than 25 years of experience, we’ve built and installed thousands of CNC machines for industries including Aluminum & Metal Cladding, Signmaking, Graphics & Print Finishing, Cabinetry, Woodworking, Plastic Fabrication, Metal Fabrication, Foam Packaging, Point of Purchase, Solid Surface, Glass, and Steel.
From Then to Now
Founded in 1990, AXYZ began as a service company, installing and repairing several brands of CNC routers. It wasn’t until 1994 that AXYZ started manufacturing its own CNC routers after relocating to a new headquarters in Burlington, Canada. Production was slow at the beginning, but the sales and service force rapidly grew, establishing a global reach with additional offices in Quebec and the United Kingdom.
In 1999, AXYZ opened an office in Poland, enhancing its global reach. In 2001, AXYZ sold 1,000 machines and expanded its UK sales and support office. Three years later, AXYZ doubled its annual sales and opened offices in India and the United States. Further growth saw AXYZ acquire the UK-based Pacer Systems in 2006 and Calgary-based Camtech International in 2007. Soon after, AXYZ launched its ground-breaking A2MC Machine Controller, taking CNC machines to the next level.
By 2010, AXYZ had 11 offices around the world including Burlington, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, India, and Poland. The same year, AXYZ sold its 4,000th Series machine. Seven years later, AXYZ celebrated 22 years of manufacturing with the sale of its 6,000th machine.
AXYZ continues to expand into new territories and products. New sales and support offices were launched in Telford – UK, Florida, New Jersey, and Dallas. In 2018, AXYZ acquired WARDJet, a Tallmadge, Ohio firm that manufactures waterjet cutting machines and offers tailored waterjet solutions to a variety of industries.
AXYZ is a world leader in CNC machines, providing versatile, configurable and revolutionary high-performance routing, engraving, knife, and waterjet cutting solutions. However, exponential growth over a 25-year period wasn’t achieved on a whim. Instead, it’s due to AXYZ’s firm belief in three key principles: Being Fast, Flexible and Direct.
What Makes Us Fast?
AXYZ changed the concept of speed, especially when delivering a customized machine. Back in the 1990s, it took as long as 30 weeks, or longer, to build and deliver a machine. In 2015, with its exceptional manufacturing processes, AXYZ offered the shortest manufacturing lead times in the industry, averaging just 4 to 6 weeks.
All AXYZ CNC router systems are engineered, manufactured and delivered to meet each customer’s exacting timelines. How? Right from the beginning, AXYZ implements a systematic approach to finding the right solution for each customer. A thorough assessment of organizational needs formulates a customized solution. A clear workflow means that AXYZ’s state-of-the-art machine building facility, aided by unique manufacturing processes, is able to build the system as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The new system is then delivered and installed by a factory-trained AXYZ engineer and includes a custom training program tailored to the machine’s unique configuration and the customer’s individual needs.
What Makes Us Flexible?
One of the greatest strengths of AXYZ is the ability to configure a machine to suit almost any specific manufacturing need, from one-off projects to high-volume manufacturing. The ingenuity of our manufacturing and engineering departments allows for ultimate freedom. The ability to produce proprietary machine controllers has made the impossible possible.
AXYZ also offers a range of configurations to meet almost any application requirement, and a refined process ensures there is no compromise on quality.
Customers can choose from compact or full-sized machines with process areas, ranging from 28 inches to 50 feet. Single-, double- or even triple-head carriages are available to manage multiple operations. A wide range of customizable cutting heads includes routing spindles, knife units, drills and more. Additional customizable features include automatic or manual tool changers.
The engineering department is continuously working on new developments and promises something new around every corner.
What Makes Us Direct?
The AXYZ team believes for ongoing success it’s crucial to keep in touch with their clients. They back up this belief with sales and support offices in Canada, the United States, the UK, Poland, and India, enabling them to directly interact with more than 90% of their customers.
AXYZ representatives are available in person, by phone or email. This makes it easy to view, research and purchase a CNC router, and makes post-sales service personal and more effective. Each of our 11 locations has dedicated sales representatives with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide individual, customized product demonstrations in a convenient, nearby location. The service department (operating under the CNCshop brand) has factory-trained engineers on hand in each location ready to respond, while our 24/7 online store provides spare parts, software, and online support. This means you are always in direct contact with the factory.
