Nelson Case Corporation
Nelson Case Corporation was established in 1992 to create the most durable, heavy-duty professional custom audiovisual and computer equipment cases in the business. Located in Placentia in Orange County, California, Nelson Case Corp has a library of more than 6,000 ATA road cases and can develop specific designs to meet any customer’s case requirements.
To meet the demand and speed up production of their made-to-order cases, Nelson Case Corp decided to purchase a CNC router and researched machine capabilities online. “We watched YouTube videos of different CNC routers in action and were impressed with the AXYZ series,” said Edward Bobadilla, President at Nelson Case Corp. As a result, they scheduled a visit to AXYZ’s California sales and demonstration facility and met with Larry Daignault, Southwest Sales Manager for AXYZ. “We saw a demonstration of the 4010 router and once we saw it in action, we knew it was the machine we were looking for. We actually bought that demo machine,” said Bobadilla.
Nelson Case Corp now owns three AXYZ series CNC routers, and Bobadilla is pleased with the results from their AXYZ machines. “The startup production is fast, and the quality and accuracy of the cuts are suburb. Everything is more consistent with these machines,” said Bobadilla. Nelson Case Corporation purchased its second machine specifically to cut foam, while they use the third machine to cut foam, wood and plastic. “I appreciate the quality of the AXYZ products and the quality of what we can produce on them.”
Nelson Case customers have been especially impressed with the cases they buy. “We provide them with protective solutions. That’s our customers’ main concern. As long as our products protect their gear, they are happy with the final product.”
Bobadilla takes advantages of the additional educational opportunities offered by AXYZ. “I’ve been to two open houses, and they are very beneficial. We learn what else we can do with our machines and we ask questions about how AXYZ does certain things. We come away with some ideas to implement in our shop.” Finally, even though they have not had significant issues with their machines, Bobadilla appreciates AXYZ’s customer service and support. “The response time from our service tech is great, and AXYZ personnel are always helpful if we have a problem or if we have any concerns or questions.”
