Frame Maker Powered by Fleet of AXYZ Routers
Cecil & Johnson Manufacturing Inc., based in North Carolina, provide wooden frames for upholstered furniture. With a shop powered by a fleet of AXYZ CNC Routers, they provide their customers with what they want, and when they want it.
A workshop consisting of 10 CNC Routers is part of the game plan and key to the company’s ability to produce a wide range of frame styles quickly for each customer time and time again. Owner Richard Pokrivka told us: “We bought our first router 20 years ago and have been adding a machine every 2-3 years since. Our second router purchase was with AXYZ and every one after that has been with AXYZ too”.
We asked Richard why he chose AXYZ:
“We work with a variety of hardwoods, including birch and maple, and the AXYZ machine cuts well and produces a precise and exact piece.”
“What sets us apart as a company is that we are very responsive to our customer’s needs. If a client needs short orders with a quick turnaround, we can do that. That can mean a customer needs one or two frames on a two-day turnaround, ready to ship. It is the nature of our business, and we wouldn’t be able to do this without help and support from AXYZ.”

“The AXYZ machines are affordable and very dependable. I can run multiple machines and multiple jobs, which means I can keep three of my customers happy versus just one of them.”
“They’re also so user friendly that I can hire new people and teach them how to run the CNC Routers in as little as an hour, and this means we’re constantly meeting customer needs.”
