AXYZ 8010 Worth Its Weight in Gold for BGI Retail

An AXYZ CNC router supplied by AXYZ has helped virtually double the production capacity of BGI Retail according to their Production Manager Graham Danielson. He commented: “We decided to upgrade from a smaller CNC machine that had outgrown itself last year with a new AXYZ 8010 Series router, the main reason being to increase turnover.”
The recently installed 8010 that Graham ordered came equipped with 2 HSD spindles and is supported by a host of production enhancements including both oscillating and tangential knife heads as well as the state-of-the-art AVS camera registration system for print to cut applications. But it doesn’t stop there. The machine is also fitted with a 7 position auto tool changer as well as the new servo drives and the latest helical rack and pinion drive system that incorporates multiple gear teeth. This ensures a more even distribution of the workload, leading to reduced machine wear and increased material feed rates.
bgi_2The 8000 Series is the machine of choice for manufacturers who work with 8’ wide materials as called for in their products and comes with a standard 103” process width. For those in the retail sector these machines are proving vital in allowing them to machine large shapes without additional processing off the machine. Other companies who can all benefit from the larger size machine include aluminum fabricators, boat builders, plastic fabricators and those in the automotive industry.
Graham continues by saying: “We purchased the AXYZ machine because the price was good and by speaking to other machine operators in the industry who swear by AXYZ. Also another deciding factor was the fact that their service personnel are just down the road in Burlington. Their technical support has proved awesome!”
He concludes: “Ultimately the AXYZ router is opening up new avenues all the time for our business, being capable of a multitude of tasks from direct print cut-outs and shaped lettering to acrylic substrates and round display units. In fact it is proving to be worth its weight in gold!”
