Machine Sizes / Process Areas
AXYZ builds one of the most modular and versatile-sized CNC systems in the world. Our Infinite Series reflects our philosophy of offering purpose-built solutions with standard sizes ranging from 2 ft to 10ft wide and lengths as small as 4ft to 50ft long.
Number of Cutting Devices
Though most often a single cutting head may be required, machines like our Trident and PANELBuilder series come standard with 3 cutting heads, where a customer will utilize the process capabilities of each head to maximize throughput and quality. In certain applications, a knife may be used for cutting flexible material, a spindle with tool changing functionality may be used for routing plastics and a drill can be used to facilitate the operation of drilling thousands of holes. The Infinite Series of machines is our most configurable in this sense where 4 different or of the same type cutting heads can be equipped on a single machine
Dual Carriages (Twin Y)
Given the space requirements, to maximize the output of a single machine, a twin Y or Dual Carriage setup can be configured which will essentially double the production output of the machine. This can be a game change in operations where a job requires multiple parts of the same type. The CNC controller will position the second carriage at the starting point of the second sheet and process both sheets in tandem.
Gantry Clearance with Longer Z Stroke
Specific applications such as stair manufacturing or large-scale foam packaging for airplane components often require thicker materials to be processed which can range from 1” to 11” thick or greater. Longer tools can also be used in these types of applications requiring a greater Z axis stroke to accommodate for the longer tool and the thicker material. Our gantry clearance and Z axis stroke options are tailored to your specific application needs.
