AVS - AXYZ Vision System |

AXYZ is pleased to announce the availability of its all new, high performance, low cost AXYZ Vision System (AVS). Using a simple, low cost camera mounted on the head of the machine, the power behind the AVS lies in its software which is fully integrated within the new AXYZ A2MC machine control system. The primary application for this new system is currently digital print finishing where the camera is able to quickly find and recognise conventional registration marks and adjust the machine cutting path as necessary to achieve exact alignment with printed shapes.

New Tangential Knife System Boosts Print to Cut Applications |
A new tangential knife head is now available which significantly enhances the material processing capabilities of all AXYZ machines. It can be mounted alongside a heavy duty router and the oscillating knife unit could be used on a third head if required.Fully compatible with the ICS camera registration system which is powered by I-~Cut, the new tangential knife can be used on a wide range of materials from fomex, foam core, and card stock through to heavy corrugated cardboard and plastic sheets.

AXYZ Router reduces costs for Marlin Steel Wire Products

As recently as November 2008, Marlin Steel Wire Products LLC (Baltimore), manufacturer of steel wire baskets, hooks and shelves, used to make one check fixture every four to eight hours. “We had situations where we would get an order, but because our fixture department was committed already, it would delay things in production,” recalls Drew Greenblatt, president of Marlin.

AXYZ International Stays the course with AWFS 2009 |
Last week, several large AWFS exhibitors announced they were going to withdraw from this year’s event.
AXYZ has assessed the impact of these withdrawals and concluded without hesitation that while the woodworking industry faces considerable challenges, we will continue to support AWFS and its marquee tradeshow event in Las Vegas in July 2009.
